Overview

TransferSnap is a client-side web application that generates EPC QR codes for SEPA credit transfers. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data is processed and how.

Data Processing

All payment data you enter (beneficiary name, IBAN, BIC, amount, reference) is processed entirely in your browser. No payment data is ever transmitted to our servers or any third party. Your beneficiary settings are stored in your browser's localStorage and never leave your device.

Hosting

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.). When you visit the site, GitHub may collect technical data such as your IP address in server logs. This processing is governed by GitHub's Privacy Statement.

Fonts

This site uses the Fira Sans and Fira Code fonts, which are served directly from our own domain. No third-party servers are contacted to load fonts.

Analytics

We use Umami Cloud (cloud.umami.is) for anonymous website analytics. Umami is a privacy-focused analytics tool that:

  • Does not use cookies
  • Does not collect personal data
  • Does not store IP addresses
  • Collects only aggregated, non-identifiable usage data

The following events are tracked anonymously:

  • Page views (automatic)
  • QR code generations
  • Settings saves and clears
  • New transfer actions

No financial data (amounts, IBANs, names, etc.) is ever included in analytics events. Because Umami does not use cookies or collect personal data, no consent banner is required under GDPR.

Cookies

TransferSnap does not set any cookies. The service worker caches static assets for offline use, but this does not involve cookies or tracking.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Since TransferSnap does not collect or store personal data on any server, there is no personal data for us to provide, correct, or delete. Your locally stored settings can be cleared at any time via the app's Settings page.
